Interdisciplinary Council

The Interdisciplinary Council includes the chairs of each Area Team and selected experts in other key fields such as demography and law. Their deliberations cut across the issues on the Center's agenda. The Interdisciplinary Council holds ongoing discussions regarding current issues that demand immediate attention and critical issues of the near future and draw working plans for Center studies, their findings, and the proposed strategy alternatives. The Council provides a multi-disciplinary viewpoint stressing the integration of social and economic dimensions in policy considerations.

Taub Center's Staff and Area Teams

The Center's core staff is responsible for the annual analysis of Israel's social expenditures as well as the planning and analysis of the annual Social Survey. It also provides data to Center experts and Area Teams for their work in the fields of policy analysis. The Area Team coordinators are responsible for the program in each individual field and plan the area agendas with the Center director. The area teams draft studies and position papers and deliberate the findings of research and trend developments in their fields. While most of these teams are permanent, some bring an ad-hoc approach to their work. The current area teams deal with issues in health, education, personal social services, economics, social transfer payments, and social security.
