Position Paper: The Mehalev Program - A Recommendation for an Improved Model of the Program Ofer Brandes, Roni Barzuri, John Gal, Miki Malul|Publication year: 2007
As part of the law for integrating recipients of income-maintenance into the labor force, an experiemental program called the Mehalev Program was established in four localities across the country. The program began in August 2005. Since then, it has run into various problems and has come under severe criticism. The recommendations in this paper are directed towards policy makers, professionals and the public at large.
