Taub Center President Prof. Avi Weiss and Director General Nir Kaidar visited the United States this month and held a number of important meetings. At their meeting in Baltimore, MD, Kaidar gave a review of the state budget, its components and impact on the economy and Prof. Weiss presented a survey on the socioeconomic situation in Israel. Among other things, Prof. Weiss spoke about demographic changes, gender income disparities, and the high cost of living in Israel. Similar content was presented by Prof. Weiss at a meeting with the President and CEO of the JFNA (Jewish Federations of North America) in New York, Eric D. Fingerhut.
