This month saw the first meeting of the Demography Policy Program, which is headed by the Taub Center Director of Research and an expert in demography, Prof. Alex Weinreb.
“Demography impacts every aspect of public policy – the education system, the labor market, health, welfare, infrastructure, and essentially, the market as a whole. Beyond the overall numbers, there is great significance to the composition of the population, for instance the age distribution or different subpopulations. Familiarity with the population composition allows us to understand possible future implications and to prepare for them accordingly. I am proud to lead the Demography Policy Program at the Taub Center,” said Prof. Weinreb.
