Taub Center Director General Suzie Patt Benvenisti and Prof. Nadav Davidovitch, Chair of the Center’s Health Policy Program, presented an overview of the economic, social and health implications of COVID-19 on Israeli society to the Jewish Federation of Chicago.
As Patt Benvenisti noted, “The pandemic helped to expose existing gaps and challenges, which became evident in the greater vulnerability of weaker workers, the outsized negative effect of school closures on low-income families, and the higher prevalence of unemployment among women than men.”
