In recent years there have been major shifts in fertility trends across Israel\u2019s population groups, with fertility dropping drastically within the Arab Israeli population, and increasing among Jews, including among secular Jews.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44052\" src=\"https:\/\/www.taubcenter.org.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-4.png\" alt=\"2\" width=\"837\" height=\"537\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Israel\u2019s population is aging, which is likely to have an impact on the future labor force, the social security system, and the health system. We are already seeing a substantial increase in spending on social security benefits for the elderly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44054\" src=\"https:\/\/www.taubcenter.org.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/3.png\" alt=\"3\" width=\"842\" height=\"668\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. For the past few years, wages and the standard of living have been on the rise in Israel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44056\" src=\"https:\/\/www.taubcenter.org.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/4.png\" alt=\"4\" width=\"642\" height=\"724\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. There is a widening gap between the high tech industry and the rest of Israel\u2019s economy, and wages in the high tech sector are much higher than in the rest of the business sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44062\" src=\"https:\/\/www.taubcenter.org.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/7.png\" alt=\"7\" width=\"638\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Compared to other developed countries, a smaller portion of Israel\u2019s health spending comes from the government, and a larger portion is paid by Israelis out of pocket.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44064\" src=\"https:\/\/www.taubcenter.org.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/8.png\" alt=\"8\" width=\"857\" height=\"665\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>9. In recent years, education and employment achievements have improved among Arab Israelis, particularly among Arab Israeli women.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44066\" src=\"https:\/\/www.taubcenter.org.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/9.png\" alt=\"9\" width=\"805\" height=\"691\" \/><strong>10. Israel\u2019s employment rate has risen in recent years, with a notable increase among women.
