At the beginning of May, Taub Center Research Director Prof. Alex Weinreb met with Mr. Shlomo Dolberg, Director General of the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel and additional staff members who work in socioeconomic areas. The meeting focused on the research A Sociodemographic Profile of the South and various other studies. The participants discussed demographic and social issues prevalent in the Southern District, with distinct focus on the Jewish and Arab populations. Trends relating to education, labor market participation, and crime were also presented at the meeting.
