Avi Weiss and Benjamin Bental presented to the Knowledge Forum – the Information and Statistics Department in the Bank of Israel

Taub Center President Prof. Avi Weiss and Taub Center Economics Policy Program Chair Prof. Benjamin Bental presented findings from the State of the Nation Report 2021 to the Knowledge Forum – the Information and Statistics Department in the Bank of Israel. Prof. Bental presented trends in the economics field and the labor market and Prof. Weiss spoke about returns to higher education and enrollment rates in academia, manpower in the healthcare system, and longevity in Israel. About 40 participants attended the lecture and raised many questions touching on the content of the studies and their importance in the field: “It was very interesting and left us wanting more,” said Dr. Ben Z. Schreiber, a senior economist at the Bank of Israel.
