The staff of the Taub Center Initiative on Early Childhood Development and Inequality met with the research and strategy team of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services to discuss the team’s ongoing research and activities.
Prof. Yossi Shavit, head of the Initiative, emphasized the importance of researching early childhood: “Israel is a country with a lot of economic inequality, which translates into inequality in children’s academic achievements. This inequality begins in early childhood and tends to expand at older ages.”
