At the German-Israeli Innovation Network’s Conference on digital innovation in the healthcare system, Taub Center Health Policy Program Chair Prof. Nadav Davidovitch presented on using digital tools to promote health equity and to increase the connectivity between doctors, patients, and policymakers. Prof. Davidovitch stressed the importance of ensuring access to digital healthcare tools throughout Israel.
For example, in southern Israel, we have large Bedouin communities where digital health can bring a lot of innovation, but they can also create unintended inequalities. Therefore, we need to think deeply about how to integrate new digital health innovations into community-specific contexts and remember that they must be integrated into existing public healthcare systems - Nadav Davidovitch
