Senior Management members met with Minister of Economy and Industry Orna Barbivai

On June 22nd, Taub Center President, Prof. Avi Weiss, and the Center’s Director General, Suzie Patt Benvenisti, met with Minister of Economy and Industry Orna Barbivai. At the meeting, which dealt with the subject of macro-economics from the Israeli perspective, Prof. Weiss presented data on Israel’s debt-to-GDP ratio, which declined over a lengthy period, as well as the difference of opinion relating to Israel’s deficit. Additional topics raised included infrastructure and employment. The Minister was also presented with the findings of the study on Youth Bulge, Violent Crime, and Shortages in the Israeli Arab Marriage Market, by Prof. Alex Weinreb, Taub Center Research Director.
