Col. (Res.) Miri Eisin has been a board member at the Taub Center for several years, and is replacing Attorney Jim Angel as the Center’s Board Chair, a position he held for the past three years.
After serving 20 years in the Intelligence Corps, where she held roles traditionally reserved for men, such as Brigade Intelligence Officer, Division Intelligence Officer, and Head of Military Research, Eisin stood at the forefront of national public relations during Operation Defensive Shield. During the Second Lebanon War, she served as the government spokesperson for foreign media and later as the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Foreign Media.
Currently, Miri is a lecturer at Reichman University in Herzliya and a fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism. She is also active on the boards of various organizations, including the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel, Forum Dvorah: Women in Foreign Policy and National Security, and Cyberwell: Fighting Antisemitism on Social Media.
Miri is married and a mother of three. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Tel Aviv University, a master’s degree from the University of Haifa, and is a graduate of the National Security College.
Miri Eisin: “I am pleased and excited to take on the role of Chair of the Taub Center Board of Directors, which has been at the forefront of research activity for more than four decades. Israel is currently in the midst of a difficult war, the outcomes of which will deeply affect us in the coming years. The process of rebuilding the country — including the rehabilitation of affected communities, the education system, and the traumatized society — will take a long time, but the decisions made during this process must be research-based and data-driven. I wholeheartedly believe that this is one of the most critical components for success and growth.”
Prof. Avi Weiss, President of the Taub Center, and Nir Kaidar, CEO: “We congratulate our dear colleague Miri Eisin on her appointment as the new Chair of the Center’s Board of Directors. Miri is a highly accomplished woman in many fields, and her long-standing membership on the Taub Center’s Board has greatly contributed to its development and advancement. We are confident that in her role as Chair, she will continue to do so with even greater intensity. We wish her great success in her new role.”
