He is a board member for the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, heading their environmental program, as well as a board member for Earthjustice. His experience and passion for the Taub Center’s work makes him a tremendous asset to the Center’s Board of Directors. Remarking on his appointment as Chair of the Board, Mr. Angell said: “I am honored to become the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Taub Center and look forward to supporting the Center’s board and professional staff in the coming years as we work to expand the scope and impact of the Center’s efforts. Although it is of relatively modest size, the Taub Center and its superb researchers play an outsized role in Israeli society by providing policymakers and the public with the sound data and analyses necessary to formulate effective and just social policies to benefit all Israeli citizens.”

Mr. Angell is replacing outgoing Chair Helen Abeles. On his appointment, Ms. Abeles said, “I am thrilled to hand over the reins of the Center to Jim. In every role he has undertaken, he adds value and leaves it in better condition than he found it. I’m sure the Center will thrive under his chairmanship.” We thank Ms. Abeles for her commitment to the Center and look forward to Jim’s leadership on our Board.
